Remote Lab + Tizen 2.3

I have try to find Z1 device with Tizen 2.3, but I was unable to find any device with Tizen 2.3 in Remote Lab. All of the devices are with Tizen 2.4. They say Tizen 2.3 in Remote Lab menu, but when you start the device, you can see in options menu that device is acctualy running on Tizen 2.3. I have ask support for help but there is no response from them.

Can someone tell me are there any Tizen 2.3 devices available in Remote Lab?

I need to check my game on Tizen 2.3 because that same tpk works fine on Tizen 2.4 but it does not work on Tizen 2.3 for some reason.

Hello.

Yes, you are right.

The only Tizen 2.3 Mobile... SM-Z130H is not more available with 2.3 Firmware on RTL.

:(

No idea if you allready solved your problem... few suggestion...

1.

Find Tester... with real Z1 and Tizen 2.3 Firmware on it...

2.

Maybe if you not scared... tell Game name...

So maybe someone could check from Tizen Store...

3.

No idea if your Game is designed with Unity...

If I remember correct... Unity not more support 2.3

Maybe this is 1 reason.

Thank you for your replay.

The problem is that I am unable to post app on Tizen store.

It is Unity app, maid with Unity 5.4.5 so it should support Tizen 2.3.

And I think it is really hard to find tester with that device. The problem would be with certificates and so on.

Best regards

Bojan

I have SM-Z130H and I am able to flash Tizen 2.3 Firmware...

Certificates are NO problem.

;)

This is why I have asked about Game name in Store... if allready available for 2.4 Devices...

So I could check if Game starts... or nothing happens or Error Message or not installable or...

I could also check dlog... maybe it spit something usefull...

Meanwhile somebody could confirm if Unity 5.4.5 is really 2.3 compatible...

As we know, Theory and Reality "sometimes" differ...

Only info.

If you are scared to share the name of your Game... is okay.

I will survive.

:)

Hi Peter, thank you for your quick replay.

The app is in Tizen Store for Tizen 2.4 devices. The name is Memory Cleaner. It is Unity 5.6 app with custom maid .so extention that I have import in Unity.

I have see in dlog that the problem is that .so extention is not loaded for some reason. That same .tpk works on Z3 T2.4 device. Error log is here:

 DllNotFoundException: org.skaljac.mmanager
04-18 10:52:50.042+0900 28594 28594 I Unity   :   at (wrapper managed-to-native) TizenMemoryManager:mm_init_running_apps ()
04-18 10:52:50.042+0900 28594 28594 I Unity   :   at MainScreen+<ReloadAppList>c__Iterator4.MoveNext () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
04-18 10:52:50.042+0900 28594 28594 I Unity   :   at UnityEngine.SetupCoroutine.InvokeMoveNext (IEnumerator enumerator, IntPtr returnValueAddress) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

I also suspect that device that they have use for testing have some problem with loading of .so file in Unity app. That does not make much sense to me but maybe that is the case. I have send 2 different apps, they are tested on same Z1 device. And have same problem with loading .so extention in Unity app.

I would like some other Z1 device with T2.3 to test. If the problem persist I would report it to Unity guys.

If you can test the app that would be great. This is the link for Memory Cleaner for Tizen 2.3 https://we.tl/Qg2BVKPW1m

If you have the time you can try it ;-) I would be greatefull. It will work on Tizen 2.4 device, but in Tizen 2.3 I really hope it would work.

Thank you and best regards

Bojan

P.S. I have just maid purchase of Z1 from India. I hope I will have it in a month ;-)

Paul L

maybe there is different path do dll file depending on Unity version or/and Tizen version. Can you log file path?

Bojan Skaljac

That is the thing. I do not have any control over .so file loading in Unity. I have do the procedure described in Unity documentation. And when I try that same .tpk file with my Z3 Tizen 2.4 everything works as expected.

But, guys from Tizen Store review team can't run it on their Z1 device. I have try 2 different apps with same result. They have tested both apps on exactly the same device (you can see it from review video, it has same markings on both videos).

So, I guess the problem is with their Z1 device or the problem is with Unity 5.4.5p1

Thanx for upload.

Please give me 1 day...

I will return with my test results...

(I made Screenshot...)

I have ignored... and pressed Optimize...

Now I see Full Screen Animation... Blinking UFO... since few Minutes...

No text message...

I will wait few more minutes before I press any Button or touch Display...

After 5 minutes nothing happens... only blinking UFO...

First attempt.

With my fat fingers touching every Pixel on Display... nothing happens... still UFO...

Second attempt.

Back key... app is closed

----------------------------------------------

Now I start again and trying to read with open eyes...

Seems your app require Smart Manager?

Hi Peter, thank you so much for your quick replay.

And in conclusion the problem is with Unity then. It does not load .so extention on Tizen 2.3 device

I will report this to guys from Unity team.

Thank you once again from your awesome work!

P.S. App should load all aps that are resistant in memory and when you press Optimze it should load Smart manager.

Tizen 2.4 have function to kill any opened apps, so on Tizen 2.4 when you press Optimze it will kill all opened apps.

Peter Wegner

Thanx for feedback.

I have tried just for fun the Version from Store... for Tizen 2.4.0.7... SM-Z200F.

No idea if you have different app versions in Store...

Install fail...

(I think Manifest API "setting")...

Will short do some "magic" and report if this Version is different on ANL7...

Best Regards

Peter Wegner

Okidoki...

Version from Store not start...

Installation possible after removing 1 non existing privilege from Manifest... and changed short API to 2.3...

Also tried complete Manifest file...

I was only to lazy to dlog...

Only as info.

Finally I have solve this issue.

Tizen 2.3 requires native plugin to be called libsharedlibrary.so. 2.4 does not require that name convention so because of that my app is working on Z3 and does not on Z1. After I got Z1 with T2.3 I have manage to solve this issue.

Thank you Peter for your precious help. And one more question, how did you manage to install .tpk on your Z1? Did you resign app with your developer certificate or did you do something else?

Best regards

Bojan

Peter Wegner

Thank you very much for feedback.

I have rooted my Z1 and added all Certs... + some edit of fingerprint...xml

For signing I can use my Z1... really simple:

hash-signer.sh -a -d /opt/usr/media/test

public Level

hash-signer.sh -p partner -a -d /opt/usr/media/test

partner Level

hash-signer.sh -p platform -a -d /opt/usr/media/test

platform Level

--------------

In theory this shell script not require root... to sign...
