Flashing Reference Device RD-PQ from 2.0 to 2.1

I would like to ask for your help in finding a solution to flash my Tizen reference device to 2.1.

My OS is Ubuntu 12.10 running in a VirtualBox virtual machine on top of Windows 7.

i followed the tutorial available here:

but with no succes.

After receiving the read signature bytes error I tried to disable and/or uninstall the modemmanager.

USB port is detected : /dev/ttyACM0

line 345: failed to read signature bytes
line 629: handshake failed
line 958: failed to open port (null)

I checked the link, but the Troubleshoot lthor page is the same. My issue stands when trying to run the "lthor" command "failed to read signature bytes" My device is connected and I can see it when running the lsusb command.

I have the same problem, Ubuntu 12.10 and Fedora 17 running under Virtualbox witha OS X guest. I have removed the modem-manager from the system and updated the Virtualbox and it's guest additions to the latest version. It get the same "failed to read signature bytes" error.

Disable the modem manager and the complete details regarding it is in the mentioned below link https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Troubleshooting_lthor_on_Ubuntu

I have the modem manager disabled(and even uninstalled). Still no luck. I managed to flash the device with a linux host machine. But under virtual box it just doesn't work. I tried doing an strace to the lthor utility. It hangs when poll()'ing /dev/ttyACM0 and times out after 60 seconds.
