Developer Device

I am planning to start development for Tizen Mobile os. Is there any way to get a developer device? If not is it possible to flash Tizen to a android phone?

Dear Santhosh Manikandan,

Tizen Phone was released  in india. (Z1 & Z3) So you can get Z1 or Z3 devices.

I think RTL(Remote Test Lab) will be helpful to you.

RTL(Remote Test Lab) allows users to install and test applications over the web.

So you can test your code on Tizen device.

URL : http://developer.samsung.com/remotetestlab/rtlDeviceList.action

And I remember that sometimes the reference devices were distributed at Tizen devlab.

Please refer it.

Thanks.

Just don't use the Remote Test Lab servers in Poland cause they never seem to work properly.

@Manos T.

Please give us example about RTL issue...

I know sometimes not runs perfect... but also other country location...

This would help to identify problem and maybe fix it...

Thanx in advance.

Hi,
I just tried 3 connections for Ζ3 (Tizen 2.4.0) in Poland all three froze on Loading screen.
On the rare occasion where the Z3 boots up correctly, the installation of my package usually fails (fatal error[61] )
The exact same package installs and runs fine on the Korean servers.

Thanks
Manos

Thank you very much for fast feedback.

1.

Yes... I can confirm... stop at Loading screen... but this could happens also to other Servers...

But for instance check with right mouse button... if device is connected...

Access filesystem or SDB conection possible...

Sometimes Reboot help...

2.

fatal Error 61 is d.mn Security jo.e...

If I remember correct... device-profile.xml is not installed on all Tizen RTL devices...

Check for instance Z1...

Here it should be also impossible... and you failed with  Error 61

As no DUID range is certified...

Welcome in the home of PKI... :)

In theory it should be hard to install your app on real device without correct Certs...

Best Regards
