As many of you will know, Tizen runs samsungs own heath tracking software (Samsung Health) however this app has very little compatibility with other health and fitness apps.
Google fit however, is compatible with a large number of different apps - most importantly for some, the Vitality Insurance app which gathers health data in order to offer discounts on monthly premiums.
There is the health sync app which can transfer data from samsung health to google fit, however many of the google fit compatible apps (including vitality) do not register this data as it 'does not originate from google fit'
Has anyone had a look at trying to port the google fit application across to tizen so that samsung health and google fit can run concurrently on the same device?
I understand this will involve voiding the warranty and many other things not recommended by the manufacturer. But having the ability to record steps and heart rate data with google fit would benefit a large number of people.
I would be very interested in testing this if somebody has developed it.
