Hmmm. Thanx. If I see 2015 from Intel Insider... "A person familiar with Intel's work with Tizen said the operating system is well-suited to the auto industry's need for differentiation. But the person said Tizen wouldn't make its way to cars until 2015." And here I can read 2014... https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/IVI/IVI_July_2,_3.0-M1#Tips.2C_tricks_and_other_workarounds "...and final 3.0 Tizen IVI releases (H2 2014)." In my opinion this means we can see Retail device"S" erliest at MWC 2014... And 2013 complete Tizen free... Nothing on IFA 2013 in Berlin? :( Best Regards

Tizen 3.0 Final for Tizen IVI will be release on H2 2014... You don't know the correct date if the Tizen 3.0 IVI comes on december you will not see cars with it in the same year... It need time to install and produce cars in huge counts. So 2015 is a realistic date for a series of cars with Tizen IVI. But Tizen IVI and Tizen for Smartphones are two different parts.

IVI is a very different market but the first Tizen phone will be available this year imo

Okidoki... This year has 4 months left... About I8800 or I8805 rumours... I can not find any hints on FCC... Next month is IFA in Germany... I am not sure if other company will release Tizen device BEFORE Samsung... "There will be good news on the tablet soon," he said. "Please wait and see." Please wait. :) This is all I can read about Tizen for Enduser... If you can wait as Developer, without earn money... Maybe Tizenstore will be open first at MWC 2014 ? Best Regards

Tizen is already under development and not ready for endusers. So it make no sense to discuss currently about the consumer market position of tizen. The UI/UX change with every update because its not ready for release a final version. So where is the problem? You should little bit patient. And until Tizen is ready no other company will release final products ;) I can wait as developer, the most developer doesn't develop for only ONE platform and earning the money on other platforms ;) So this argument isn't very huge. It will be realistic that the Tizen Store will open for users on the MWC2014 or Tizen Conference :) Or whatever event.

It is not accurate news. The 5 countries list dose not include US and China

Thank you. US market and China sounds little bit strange... never heard before. We all know the 5 Tizen countries, this is no secret. October 2013 would be very nice, but I think MWC 2014 earliest date... Best Regards

Agreed, the 5 countries list is probably not correct but October seems plausible :)
Releasing high end device before the end of the app challenge and before having store full of good apps and games (still no official unity3d support ) would be a mistake IMO They should wait till 2014 unless Android Apps are working perfectly using 3rd party solutions High end expensive $$$ tizen device in Ukraine and Kazakhstan..really? doubt many people can afford it!
