Factory reset of developer unit without reimaging - is it possible?

Asking because someone else asked me, and I didn't know the answer.

Is there a way to perform a factory reset on the developer unit, without going to the trouble of reimaging?

Does 'the developer unit' mean one of the Tizen reference phones those were distributed when Tizen 1.0 was released? If yes, unfortunately it's not possible to perform a factory reset on that device. Flashing the latest image(reimaging) would be better than the factory reset for that device because the binary image is getting improved day by day.
