AT&T Gear S (SM-R750A) Please Help (re .PIT)

Hi all,

I'm trying to find a PIT for my AT&T Gear S. I've tried other forums, don't think anyone is actively working with the AT&T version who is willing to help out.

Thanks.

Hi Sowande,

Sorry for my ignorance but what's a PIT ?

The PIT file is the partition information table. It tells your phone,  or in this case a smart watch, where different packages go on the phone, as well as how big partitions are on the phone. Without this information, Odin cannot properly re-partition the device.

I have to ask, what do you need a PIT for? Usually by the time you need one, you have bricked your Gear and have spent a little too much time in Odin.

Hi,

I've found some more information about pit file.

Although this information is from Android device. but the meaning and usage of this file seems to be same.

• PIT This is for .Pit files you will only need to use this if a firmware update needs to change your partition layout (very very unlikely) or if you mess up you partition table (you don’t want to do this) . You will probably never have to use this so just leave it alone unless you I say you need to do it or you know what you are doing.
