Problem --> Haxm installation and VT-x not turned on

Hello

I would like to install the new platform Tizen Wearable SDK 1.0.0b3 on my laptop with windows 7 - 64 bits. I started downloading the files :
- tizen-wearable-sdk-2.2.159_windows-64.exe
- tizen-wearable-sdk-image-TizenSDKW_1.0.0b3-windows64.zip

I launched the installation manager and I selected the zip file (tizen-wearable-sdk-image-TizenSDKW_1.0.0b3-windows64.zip).

When Haxm started the installation, it was stopped and alerted "This computer meets the requirements for Haxm, but Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) is not turned on. Haxm can be installed but will not work until VT-x is enable..."

I checked in the BIOS : VT-x is turned on (VT-x only) and the Execute Disable Bit is enabled. So it is contradictory with the alert. I also checked with an Intel tool if VT-x is on. The tool confirmed the VT is on.

I can continue the installation and used the platform. But the emulator doesn't work properly (very very very slow).

Somebody has an idea how can we fix this issue with Haxm? Thank you .

Hi,

Probably you need to turn off the Hyper-V. Please see the following link for more details:

Hello Alex,

Thank you for your help. I try to turn off the Hyper-V, but it looks like I don't have it in my computer. Then, following the link you gave me, I disactivated Avast, my antivirus. But I meet the same problem with Haxm during the installation.

Then I decided to uninstall Avast. And the good news is I didn't meet this problem and I could install Tizen and Haxm without problem. So the problem is solved. Thanks.
