Tizen IVI Installation issue

Hello All,

I am trying to install Tizen IVI image into IVI-ROHM StarterKit(from Giantec inc).

I am trying with IVI Installation procedure https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/IVI/IVI_Installation with "Install system to HDD - second alternative" option.

The following are the steps in the same procedure:

  1. Prepare a bootable USB stick with SystemRescueCD on it. Note: they have an easy-to-use how-to on their website for this: http://www.sysresccd.org/Sysresccd-manual-en_How_to_install_SystemRescueCd_on_an_USB-stick
  2. Copy the compressed IVI image (i.e. in bz2 format) to that USB stick
  3. Plug the USB stick to your IVI system
  4. Press "Del" or "<F2>" to access BIOS menu, change Boot Priority to make it boot from the removable USB stick
  5. Once you're on the console: check what your HDD (or SSD) device node is (it typically is /dev/sda)

i am copying ivi-main-min-auto-tizen-ivi_20120712.3-sdb.raw.bz2 in step 2.

But i am not getting console as mentioned in step 5. I am getting simply bank screen.

Please help me in this installation.

Regards,

Somasekhar

Hi, I would recommend the IVI mailing list for this : https://lists.tizen.org/listinfo/ivi
