Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. today announced that members of global developer community can get an early access to the Software Development Kit (SDK) of the company’s next generation of the Gear device. The new wearable device will be the 7th generation of Samsung Gear with a wrist watch type. This is the first time that Samsung has released its wearable SDK to third-party developers before the official product announcement.

Is there any highlighted features or function on the next getneratiion of Gear device platform?

What's the key concept of this device comparing with previous Samsung devices?

Samsung have today released their new Tizen SDK to developers that have previously signed up for their Samsung Gear Early Access SDK. The new Tizen SDK will help developers to build “richer and differentiated apps for the next generation Gear device”. The current release is Tizen SDK 2.3.1 RC7, with downloads available for Mac OSX-64bits / Ubuntu-32bit / Ubuntu-64bits / Windows-32bits and Windows-64bits.

I can't found any release note about TIZEN sdk 2.3.1.

This is the first time that Samsung has released an SDK before the actual device has been released. Today there has been an update to the Gear SDK, bringing it to version Tizen SDK 2.3.1 RC15 and the good news is that it now also includes Tizen Native APIs allowing devs to build both Web and Native apps."

Does this only for Next Gear Smartwatch? Can I develop in native on Gear S?
