Documentation on how to start developing for Tizen IVI

Hello.

I want to develop applications for a car using Tizen IVI.

I'm completely new to Tizen IVI (but not to software development).

I'd like to know how are Tizen Web apps, Tizen Native apps

and Tizen IVI apps relate to each other.

1. Do I have to know how to make, say Tizen Web apps to

make Tizen IVI apps or not?

2. Is there a documentation on how to make Tizen IVI

apps and documentation on how to make Tizen Web apps?

I mean is the documentation for these is different or it

just one documentation? I see everywhere docs on

Tizen Web apps or Native apps docs but no Tizen IVI

developer docs.

Thank you,

Grigory.

Hi Grigory,

you'll find IVI docs in the wiki; usual native tools are EFL and Qt; more info on the mailing list

forgot: EFL https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/IVI/Tizen-Core-development-EFL

Qt https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Qt_SDK

Olivier, thank you for the anwers.

But I still don't understand. I've set up the IVI SDK

as written in IVI SDK wiki.

There is an IDE based on Eclipse and some sample

applications written in JavaScript.

I'm confused.. JavaScript and web applications

have nothing to do with native EFL applications or Qt.

So what's the preferred way to develop applications

for IVI?

Web, Qt or native EFL?

Could you clarify on this, please?

Thank you.
